Reminders

Bill reminders, so no due date slips by

Llegamos tells you what is due: on the day or up to seven days before, at the hour you pick. Reminders reach your phone or computer on the free plan and, with Pro, your inbox too.

A reminder one day before, at 9 a.m., with the sample month.

01

Why bills get missed

It is rarely the money. The electricity bill is due on the 5th, school on the 10th, water on the 12th, and each one arrives from somewhere different. If paying on time depends on remembering to check, one of them slips, sometimes with a late fee.

In Llegamos every monthly bill has its due date. Since the app already knows what is due and when, it can tell you without you opening it.

02

How reminders work

  1. Add your bills with their due dates

Rent on the 1st, electricity on the 5th, internet on the 18th. What repeats is entered once and Llegamos lays out each month.

  2. Turn reminders on for your device

In your profile, under Reminders, tap “Turn on for this device” and allow notifications. Do it on your phone and your computer, and send yourself a test.

  3. Pick when and at what time

On the day, one day before (the default) or up to seven days before, at the hour you want, in each group’s own time zone.

  4. One reminder per day and group

Not one per bill: a single message with the most urgent first and the total per currency.

03

What the reminder says

It leads with the most urgent thing: what is due today; if nothing, tomorrow; if nothing, within the days you chose; and otherwise what was due yesterday and is still unpaid. Then it says how many more are coming and how many are overdue. A bill that went overdue a week ago does not nag you every day.

It only counts bills that are still pending. If someone in your group already marked one as paid, it is gone from the reminder. On a day with nothing due, nothing arrives.

Phone, computer and email

  • Android: with the Google Play app, reminders arrive like any other app’s notifications.
  • iPhone: for now Llegamos installs from Safari with “Add to Home Screen”. Notifications work once it is installed that way; Apple allows them for Home Screen web apps since iOS 16.4.
  • Computer: your browser asks for permission once and the reminder shows up as a system notification.
  • Email (Pro): the same reminder in your inbox, with the names and amounts of what is due. It starts off; you turn it on.

06

Who it is for

For you alone, if your bills are spread across the month. For couples, families and housemates, reminders belong to each person: everyone chooses whether, when and at what time, and everyone sees the same group. Once one of you pays, the others stop hearing about it. If you also split costs, see shared expenses.

07

What it does not do

  • It does not pay for you or connect to your bank: it reminds you, you pay and mark it in the app.
  • It does not remind you of one-off expenses: an expense is already spent and has no due date.
  • It does not send reminders on WhatsApp. The WhatsApp assistant only replies when you write to it.
  • A reminder is a help, not a guarantee: it can be late or blocked by your phone. The month’s bills list is the source of truth.

Frequently asked questions

Can it remind me several days before?

Yes, from zero to seven days before. Zero means on the due date itself. The default is one day before at 9 a.m.

Do I get one notification per bill?

No. You get one per day and per group, most urgent first, with the total per currency and how many more are coming.

Does it work on iPhone?

Yes, with Llegamos added to your Home Screen from Safari. Open it from the icon, go to your profile and turn reminders on for that device.

Are email reminders free?

No, they are part of Pro, like the Monday summary. On the free plan reminders reach your phone or computer.
